Youth Unlimited Partners with Shaw Charity Classic

Youth Unlimited Partners with Shaw Charity Classic

JOIN US FOR OUR A UNIQUE FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY!

Youth Unlimited has been asked to partner with Shaw Charity Classic once again. This is an event where the champions of golf come out to play and crowds of spectators gather.

August 31 - September 2nd is when Ecology becomes our task and where teamwork and networking are key!

We will get busy gathering (pre-bagged) recyclable bottles/cans and empty the trash receptacles, refreshing them with new bags. It's not a glamorous job but it gives you an opportunity to sneak a peek at such an elite event, meet new people and help raise funds for a charity. We are organizing two shifts.

The tournament is making a donation to Youth Unlimited for this project and by you helping us you are partnering in our ministry to reach more youth for Christ. Since our ministry staff raise 100% of their salary, they are also using this opportunity to help raise their ministry funds. If you sign up as a helper for one of our staff, every hour you work will help bring in a dollar amount for that staff member or program! So this is a tangible way to help support those you believe in! Last year our team was able to bring in $15,000.00+!

We will provide you with gloves, bottled water, a special parking pass, shuttling from the parking lot to the grounds and back at the end of your shift.

Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club (VOLUNTEERS PARKING & SHUTTLING is at ST. MARY'S UNIVERSITY 14500 Bannister Rd SE, Calgary, AB T2X 1Z4)

We will provide water for you. There are food vendors on the course with food for purchase. You may also want to bring your own bagged lunch that can be stored in our coolers. You will be outside so please dress accordingly. T-SHIRTS WILL BE PROVIDED for you to wear while assisting this project.

1. WHEN REGISTERING AND PLANNING TO PARK AT THE EVENT, please be sure to request a parking pass in your submission and one will be emailed to you.

2. IF YOU ARE REGISTERING A GROUP, please let us know how many in your group will be joining you and how many parking passes you will need.

3. SHUTTLE SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE ST. MARY'S UNIVERSITY PARKING LOT and you will be brought to a main entry point on the golf course. You will want to grab a map and then follow to the meeting place as shown below. If this is your first time, our Ecology tent can be hard to find so please text me at the number provided below for on-site instructions.

4. WE ASK THAT YOU ARRIVE ON TIME FOR YOUR SHIFT SO THAT WE CAN WALK YOU THROUGH YOUR ORIENTATION.

YOUTH UNLIMITED GOLF MARATHON

YOUTH UNLIMITED GOLF MARATHON

Strathmore Golf Course (map)

You are invited to participate in a unique opportunity to play 54 holes of golf on a first class course with a registration of only 30 golfers... all for FREE. At the same time, you will be making a difference in the lives of young people.

Youth Unlimited has developed unique programs to reach out to thousands of teenagers who need our support. Much of what we do is preventative -  challenging young people to positive lifestyles and principled living.. We also provide intervention for teenagers who are on the streets or in crisis, providing counselling and support.

Please accept our invitation to play in the Ironman Golf Marathon and at the same time make a significant contribution towards helping our young people. Regardless of the personal benefits...the real beneficiaries will be our kids.

To register for the MARATHON, please complete this form. Once we receive the form we will send you a package including pledge forms and links for your people to make pledges.

You can golf and raise funds towards a staff members ministry, a program or the general operations. As a golfer you need to raise a minimum of $1000. Your friends, families, church members and work associates are your keys to the success in this fundraising project.
